Kabab Khas
Kebab-e Khâs · کباب خاص
The "special" — yogurt-marinated mutton and chicken, charcoal-grilled. The dish that gave the restaurant its name.
Six tables. Eight thousand photographs. Three generations of one family. And one menu that hasn't needed to change.
A short and sweet à la carte menu of juicy grilled meats served over fragrant zafran rice. If it's your first time, order one of these.

Joojeh Kebâb · جوجه کباب
Saffron-marinated chicken cubes, boneless or boned. The lighter half of the menu — and the most photographed.

Sultani · سلطانی
Mutton tenderloin alongside minced koubideh, with saffron rice. The premium combo — order it when you want everything at once.
Every order comes with herbs, onions, mint-yogurt and warm Iranian flatbread to start. Mint tea and dates with sesame syrup arrive at the end. None of this is on the bill.
In 1941, a ten-year-old Iranian boy named Mohammad Ali Ansari stepped off a boat in Dubai. He spent the next thirty-five years trying to sell bread, perfume, matchboxes, and currency. All of it failed.
In 1978 he borrowed AED 100,000 and opened a six-table kebab shop in Bur Dubai. He called it Kebab Khas. It took a decade to fill on word of mouth. His sons — Majeed, Abbas and Taleb — run it today. The menu is one page. It has not changed.
DINING ROOM · BUR DUBAI
This place is a true institution. The kebabs were incredible. The garlic sauce is an absolute must-get.
Al Ustad is more than just a restaurant — it's a Dubai icon. A must-visit place, without question.
Really friendly staff and the owner was nice. The food was probably the best kebab I've ever had.
